Ok Here is my second attempt with the knifty knitter.. this was done with the red loom. I think it looks cute not on her head.. On her head it just looks so open and wide and airy lol.. It fits her real good but Im just not liking the holey look lol. Im so new to this I dont know if its just the pattern or if its just the yarn I chose to use.. Doreen any ideas?? I think im going to try a scarf next.

awww, so cute.
K's point of it being too small may be the problem. . . also a thicker yarn might produce a tighter weave. You may have trouble adjusting the knitter to make the fabric tighter because the gauge is determined by the space between the pegs wich is not adjustable on your knitter. with hand knitting you adjust the needle size to get a tighter or looser stitch. with machine knitting you adjust the keyplate which moves the needles further from the starting point for a wider stitch and less for a tighter stitch. . . my suggestion would be to play around with it and make a gauge swatch. it's a piece of knitting that is at least four inches square. most packs of yarn have a guage on them. count the number of stitches you get for 4" and the number of rows for 4" and that gives you your gauge. Then compare it to what you find on the yarn. You can probably tell from there what adjustments you need to make.
